Our little “bike mechanic”!
You cannot start race season unless your bike is all tuned up!
Our family's journey to the 2011 Ironman World Championship and our life after the Ironman!
Ironman race day can be a confusing time. I had counted on tracking James on his phone, but the Ironman website kept telling me to go to a desktop computer. Our hotel did not have a business center, so I had to rely on updates from friends and family on the mainland!
James’s sister was one of the people who kept me updated. She stayed up to watch him cross the finish line. Here are her “finish line pictures”!
In the past, Aaron has done some running races, like Daddy! But, this weekend, he did a different kind of race. He participated in the Boy Scouts annual “Pinewood Derby”. He spent a lot of time sanding, painting and working on his car. All his hard work paid off. He won first place for the Tiger Cubs!
Aaron designed his car to look like a podracer from Star Wars.
Weighing the car…it cannot weigh more than 5 ounces!
Setting up the car…
First Place! And proud of it!
