Our little “bike mechanic”!

You cannot start race season unless your bike is all tuned up!

I was driving down the road with my two favorite little guys, when all of a sudden, Aaron states “Rylan fell asleep on Clifford!” He took the picture, not me! It was just too cute of a picture to pass up.

A Different Perspective!

Ironman race day can be a confusing time. I had counted on tracking James on his phone, but the Ironman website kept telling me to go to a desktop computer. Our hotel did not have a business center, so I had to rely on updates from friends and family on the mainland! It was extremely frustrating to be so close to him, but not know what was going on!

James’s sister was one of the people who kept me updated. She stayed up to watch him cross the finish line. Here are her “finish line pictures”!

A Different Kind of Race!

In the past, Aaron has done some running races, like Daddy! But, this weekend, he did a different kind of race. He participated in the Boy Scouts annual “Pinewood Derby”. He spent a lot of time sanding, painting and working on his car. All his hard work paid off. He won first place for the Tiger Cubs!

Aaron designed his car to look like a podracer from Star Wars.

Weighing the car…it cannot weigh more than 5 ounces!

Setting up the car…

First Place! And proud of it!

Tis' the Season...Trainer Season!

It’s that time of year again! Trainer season! After a long break, James is back on the trainer and getting ready for a “quiet” triathlon season. He is planning to do a sprint triathlon, a ½ marathon and a ½ Ironman distance race this year. It will be a HUGE change from last year!

Our first morning in Kona…Everyone is all smiles (even at 6:00 am!)

Our last morning in Kona…not quite as happy!

Isn’t God’s creation something to behold? We felt like we were standing on top of the world as we looked out over the volcano. James and I have visited 3 volcanoes on 3 different continents. Yet, the beauty and the power of them never seem to get old!

Disney Challenge Update

My new “butt kicking” shoes!

Alicia and I have each walked over 100 miles in our walking challenge! If I was walking on the road toward Disney, I would already be in South Carolina! She is still ahead, but no worries! I will catch up!
