K-Swiss Challenge

In the spring, K-Swiss offered a challenge to Andreas and Michael Raelert. If the German-born, professional triathletes crossed the finish line at the World Championship in first and second place, K-Swiss would award them a $1,000,000 prize!

This would be the largest bonus in Ironman history! The brothers took up the challenge with enthusiasm! (Wouldn't you?)

So, will the Raelert brothers sweep the Ironman this year? Unfortunately, the answer is "no". In August it was announced that Micheal Raelert was pulling out of the Ironman race because of a hip injury.

We were sad to learn this. We were looking forward to watching them strive for that $1 million prize on October 8!
