Ironman Foundation

In Kona this year, there were over 40 athletes racing who were raising money for a number of different causes. The Ironman Foundation's program "Your Journey, Your Cause" allowed these athletes to fundraise for a charity they are passionate about, and the Foundation matches the donations. This program was introduced in 2003. Since then, the Ironman Foundation has given back more than $10 million to causes around the world!

James was one of these athletes this year. He was racing in memory of his grandmother who passed away from ALS in May. He was and still is a “Blazeman Warrior” as he helps fight the war on ALS.

It is not too late to give to help fight the war against this horrible disease! You can give online by going to http://ironman.kintera.org/worldchampionship/JamesGarris
