In a full Ironman race, the swim is 2.4 miles long. Our hotel was about a mile away from the start/finish line, so the swim went right by our hotel! On the morning of the race, I went down to the race with James, and my dad stayed at the hotel with the boys. As the race began at 7:00, they walked down to the pool area and watched the swimmers!
